Dance Trance is a contra dance weekend in Lexington, KY, produced by the Lexington Traditional Dance Association. For 2018 we have the 23rd annual Dance Trance. See Dance Trance and Swing Shift archive for past performers.

Location - Dance Trance is held at Morton Middle School, 1225 Tates Creek Rd, Lexington KY. Some workshops are held at nearby Barbara Ann's School of Dance. (Click on links for Google maps.)

Contra dances that use cross contra formation - this formation puts partners diagonally opposite in the set of four, presenting new opportunities in choreography. This will be more dance than workshop, just a little extra teaching.

Have you ever wished you could spontaneously harmonize with others? Starting with the basics, this workshop will explore the theory and practice of vocal harmonization by ear. All levels of vocal ability are welcome.
